Is it possible to use the sub-products produced during the wet desulphuration process?

Yes. In wet desulphuration processes, a type of gesso (desulphurised gesso) is produced that can be taken advantage of by the manufacturers of building materials to produce prefabricated gesso panels. This type of gesso can be used in cement factories as a substitute for natural gesso.

What kind of gases can lime eliminate?

Lime eliminates additional acid gases such as HCl (hydrochloric acid), HF (hydrofluoric acid) and SO3 (sulphur trioxide). The processes, either dry or wet, allow the more than 95% of HCl, HF and SO3 emissions to be eliminated. Mercury can also be eliminated thanks to processes using lime. The combination of lime with active carbon is a technology capable of eliminating more than 70% of mercury emissions generated by SUW (Solid Urban Waste) industries.
