Lime eliminates additional acid gases such as HCl (hydrochloric acid), HF (hydrofluoric acid) and SO3 (sulphur trioxide). The processes, either dry or wet, allow the more than 95% of HCl, HF and SO3 emissions to be eliminated. Mercury can also be eliminated thanks to processes using lime. The combination of lime with active carbon is a technology capable of eliminating more than 70% of mercury emissions generated by SUW (Solid Urban Waste) industries. |
