PAINT

A dual role: combines an aesthetic finish and acts provides protection on the surface that it is applied to.

Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) plays an important role in the improvement of paint formulations.

The first layer or coating is obtained by mixing natural pigments with vegetable or animal oils, its application is intended, above all, for decorative purposes. The continuous development of technology and research in new materials (resins, additives, solvents or PCC itself) means that it is possible for paint to become an essential protective coating.

The range of products offered by Calcinor brings the following advantages to the paint sector:

The inclusion of CALPREC PA® or Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) in the formulation of its paint provides opacity and whiteness. Furthermore, thanks to its special microstructure it favours the disintegration of titanium dioxide, spreading out and distributing itself at the optimum distance, it therefore improves its performance. In other words, CALPREC PA® is used as an extender of TiO2 and so reduces its consumption, achieving the same results as well as significantly saving manufacturing costs. CALPREC PA® can be used in both water based systems and in solvents.
