History
The company was founded in 1965 as a gypsum stone mining company. In 1974, with the installation of 2 treatment furnaces, it also began to market the treated product in powder form. In 1982 Calcinor began its collaboration with Yesos Albi, and today it has five gypsum kilns and two kilns for expanding perlite.
Products
Natural gypsum stone composed of crystallised calcium sulphate dihydrate is calcined and ground to obtain gypsum powder. Yesos Albi supplies manual gypsum (coarse and fine) and sprayed gypsum. Among its most renowned products are PROYALBI PLUS and ALBIPLAST FINO.
Applications
Yesos Albi's formulations are mainly designed for application in interior wall cladding in construction, with special emphasis on its projected gypsum for fireproofing, thermal and acoustic insulation. Gypsum is also marketed for application in agriculture, livestock and industry.
Corporate responsability
As part of its commitment to the environment and sustainability, Yesos Albi applies the Transfer Mining technique by which its mining fronts are converted into surfaces that are perfectly restored and integrated into the landscape. With an annual production of 150,000t of fired gypsum, Yesos Albi has a national and international presence.
