RUBBERS

These days the production of synthetic rubber exceeds that of natural rubber.

Precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) improves the dynamic properties of rubber.

Natural rubber is an elastic polymeric secretion, appearing as a milky emulsion (known as latex) in the sap of several plants, but it can also be produced synthetically.

CALPREC® PR-B is an ultrafine coated PCC used as load that is able to chemically bond with the rubber polymer matrix. This effect helps the final product to maintain the compression stability, and in turn enhances other mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, ultimate elongation and hardness.

CALPREC® PR is an ultrafine coated PCC used in a wide range of rubbers, such as processing agents. It can be used to provide a certain level of reinforcement as it is easy to handle and disperse within a compound.

Micronised Calcium Oxide is highly reactive if used with a drying agent in different formulations.
