In line with its policies of continuous improvement, worker health protection, and environmental care, Calcinor has held the sixth edition of its Mining and Occupational Risk Prevention Workshop (PRL). This time, CALCASA hosted the event, welcoming technical and safety managers from the Group’s various mining operations for two intensive days of shared learning.

The workshop had a dual purpose: to exchange experiences in the implementation of Restoration Plans and to review the progress made in worker safety, particularly in relation to the risks associated with moving elements and equipment in mining facilities. This collaborative approach makes it possible to identify improvements, compare results, and strengthen shared practices focused on prevention and sustainability.

During the first day, participants presented the actions carried out in mine restoration, highlighting the assessment of deviations and the corrective measures implemented to ensure the effectiveness of the Restoration Plans across different sites. The second day focused on protecting workers from risks linked to equipment with moving parts, with attendees sharing implemented solutions and lessons learned.

To conclude the workshop, a technical visit was organized at CALCASA’s quarry, where participants observed the safety and enclosure measures implemented at the facilities, as well as the integration of restoration practices within ongoing operations. In this context, the company’s strong commitment to safety and its use of technological solutions aimed at protecting people, equipment, and energy sources were highlighted—reflecting Calcinor’s dedication to a safer, more efficient, and environmentally responsible mining activity.
