CALCIUM AND MAGNESIUM OXIDE (CaO MgO). CALCINED DOLOMITE

There are three manufacturing centres for Calcium and Magnesium Oxide or Calcined Dolomite, strategically located so as to guarantee supply both nationally and internationally.

Calcined dolomite is a material that plays an important role in the steel sector, both for its purifying action and for the protection of refractory linings.

Calcium and magnesium oxide or calcined dolomite are obtained from dolomitic minerals such as calcium carbonate and magnesium (Ca Mg (CO3) 2, through the calcination process.

Ca Mg (CO3)2 + Heat → CaO MgO

Calcined dolomite is found in applications in the iron and steel industry, such as in scorifiers and refractory lining protectors, in agriculture as a soil conditioner and in the environmental sector in water treatment, among others.

Calcinor has three dolomite production centres, which due to their strategic location and proximity to the coastline ensure delivery to anywhere on the Spanish peninsula and to foreign markets.

Calcinor also offers the possibility of producing tailor-made products for any application, by adding the appropriate amount of calcium oxide.
